Hey Ambassadors!
I know that you all are just as excited as we are, and in the midst of your excitement and stressing about packing and hoping you get to the airport on time or praying that your car doesn’t get a flat tire… you might forget some details…
SO… here is a little recap:
IF YOU ARE DRIVING
Drive to:

You need to ARRIVE between 4:00PM and 5:00PM EST ONLY.
***Please do not arrive any earlier than 4PM because staff will be finalizing training camp preparation***
Remember that if you are going to be going through Atlanta, traffic on a Friday afternoon in the summer is CRAZY and will add time to your trip. Keep that in mind.
And note that the arrival times are in Eastern Standard Time, so if you will be changing time zones, you need to take that into account, as well!
If you have a set back (or get lost) during your drive and will be arriving late, call us at this number: 770-679-6382 (this is Casey’s number).
IF YOU ARE FLYING
ARRIVE in Atlanta, GA (Hartsfield-Jackson Int. – ATL) no later than 2:00PM.
When your flight arrives, grab your pack from baggage claim, and then make your way to the lower level of the DOMESTIC TERMINAL, by the Lower North 1 (LN1) doors. Adventures staff and leaders will be there by late morning to meet you.
If you have trouble finding the meeting place, don’t hesitate to ask an airport employee for help finding the meeting spot! We will also have an Ambassador leader hanging out in the main atrium to help point you in the right direction!
If you are going to arrive early in the morning, there are plenty of restaurants and shops where you can hang out in the atrium!
An Adventures shuttle will transport you from the airport to camp. Please pick up your bags and head to the meeting spot quickly once you land.
If your flight gets canceled or delayed, call 770-679-6382 (this is Casey’s number).
If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
WHILE YOU ARE ON THE FIELD:
We do have an emergency contact number!
The emergency line is for just that – emergencies. Should a situation arise at home while you are on the field and your family needs to contact you immediately (ex: serious illness or death in the family), they can call this number at any time between 6 PM on June 21st and 12 PM on July 26th. This is not to be used if you simply have not called home when we ask you to and your parents haven’t heard from you or want an update on the team.
If your family does have an emergency and needs to get in contact with you, they can call 844-780-5961 (the emergency line for the Ambassador program).
A second option would be to call 888-265-2404 (the emergency line for our Short Term department).
They need to state your name (the participant), that you are with Ambassador, and the country you are in. We will then get in contact with your team leader.
AT THE END OF THE TRIP
If you are being picked up:
Your parents will need to pick you up between 8 AM and 12 PM (noon) on the last day of your trip.
They can pick you up at:

There are two Holiday Inn Express hotels near the airport, so make sure you go to the correct one!
We ask that any parents driving in early to pick up their child do not book a room at this hotel. We know your child will be excited to see you, but we want to be able to debrief the teams without the temptation or distraction of having loved ones just a few doors down!
If you are flying:
Your team leader and Adventures staff will make sure you are at the airport on time to check in for your flight. They will make sure you are checked in and that you get to security. From there, you will go through security and proceed to your gate on your own!
Finally, don’t forget to bring the hard copy of your Low Ropes Waiver with you when you come to camp.
